Getting There

Transfers can be booked at an additional cost - contact Reception for transfer arrangements.

Airport coaches, taxi's and limousines are available from Brisbane and Gold Coast (Coolangatta) Airports.

Reception is open from 8.30am to 5pm weekdays & (9am to Noon Sat & Sun).
If checking in outside of these times, dial 300 on the phone at the front door & our After Hours Service will be available to help you.

From North ( Brisbane) When you get to Southport follow Gold Coast Highway ( Surfers Paradise Boulevard )towards Surfers Paradise township. Turn left into Ocean Ave & you will see The Shore on your right. ( On the corner of Ocean Ave & The Esplanade )

From South ( Coolangatta ) When you get to Surfers Paradise Township, turn right until you get to the ocean front. Turn left into The Esplanade, go aprox 4 blocks & turn left into Ocean Ave. The Shore is on your left, on the corner of The Esplanade & Ocean Ave.

Children / Extra Guests

(Any additional charges are payable direct to the hotel)
0 - 2 years inclusive - Free. Cot/bed charges if required, pay direct on check in.
3 - 14 years - Adult rates apply.
Extra charge of $25 per night applies for third adult or up to 2 children. (Maximum 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children per apartment). Extra adult (or 2 children sharing) use sofa bed in lounge. Pay direct on check in.

The Shore Apartments Rooms

1 Bedroom Apartment
The one bedroom apartment is fully self-contained featuring ceiling or pedestal fans, Foxtel and a fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge and kettle.

The two middle apartments on each floor have a balcony with outdoor table and chairs. Having no balconies, the end apartments are even more spacious and have extensive views.

Bedding configuration is 1 Queen bed and 1 Sofa bed - Maximum capacity is 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

As we arrived late in the evening, it was very difficult to get into the Apartments as the phone outside did not work, either on 300 or the other number. It wasn\'t until somebody returning for the night who let us into the foyer, that we could actually get hold of our key.
Our taxi driver had used his phone to inform somebody about our dilemma, but there was a distinct lack of interest. Lucky for us these people turned up or we would have been on the doorstep all night.

Had trouble with light globes which they didnt fix or follow up after it was reported, otherwise it was ok.

great view and room size, good distance from main strip. Just would have been better if the pool and spa were warm enough to go in. we tried the spa and it was too cold.

The spa temperature is set at 36 - 38 degrees Celsius. The pool is set to 22C in summer up to 28C in mid winter. We were advised that these are the accepted Industry Standard.
Please advise Reception if you don't find it warm enough.

There is an apartment which is due to be renovated. The others have now been completed. As we were completely full we thought the fabulous view would make up for the less than satisfactory decor. Sorry about the rain. That certainly does not help!!

The buildings Main Power Board does not have the capacity for air conditioning. Due to the lovely summer sea breeze, air conditioning would rarely be needed.
